Telemedicine for Rural India

The nearest doctor who understands you shouldn't be three hours away.

A short call with a doctor who speaks your language, a home visit when you need one, no full day lost to travel. We're building this first in Assam, and see it as the starting point for reaching rural India more broadly.

Why We Started Here

Assam has one doctor for every 1,216 people.

A child wakes up with a fever that won't break. The nearest specialist is hours away by road, in a language the family doesn't speak comfortably.

So the family waits — not because they don't care, but because the journey itself is the barrier. The time away from work. The cost of travel. The worry of explaining symptoms to someone who doesn't speak Assamese.

Koa Care exists because that story shouldn't be the only option. A short phone call, in a language you're comfortable in, with a doctor who understands — that's where care should start.

How It Works

One call, in your own language, from wherever you are.

1

Describe how you feel

In Assamese, Hindi, English, or another supported language — by voice or text.

2

Talk to a verified doctor

Audio or video, with a doctor whose registration we've checked ourselves.

3

Get a digital prescription

Clear, saved to your records, ready whenever you need it again.

4

Tests and medicine reach your door

A local Koa Care agent handles sample collection and delivery — someone from your own district, not a stranger.
